NAILS

  • A structured manicure is an advanced gel manicure designed to strengthen, support, and enhance the natural nail while maintaining a clean, natural look. Unlike a traditional gel manicure, this service includes building a carefully balanced structure using a thicker builder gel or hard gel to reinforce the nail and create a smooth, durable apex.

This technique helps prevent bending, splitting, and breakage while allowing the natural nails to grow longer and healthier over time. The structured layer adds subtle strength and shape without extensions, making it ideal for clients who want beautiful, polished nails that last longer than standard gel manicures.

Each structured manicure includes detailed cuticle care, precise nail shaping, and a customized gel overlay that is carefully sculpted to support the natural nail. The finished result is a refined, natural-looking manicure with enhanced durability, high shine, and improved wear.

Structured manicures are perfect for clients who:
    • struggle with weak or flexible nails
    • want extra strength and durability
    • are growing out their natural nails
    • prefer a longer-lasting manicure with a clean, polished finish

This service can be finished with gel color, a natural glossy overlay, or nail art enhancements if desired.

With proper maintenance and fills every 2–4 weeks, structured manicures help maintain nail health while providing a consistently beautiful manicure.

  • A regular gel manicure involves applying thin layer(s) of gel polish over the natural nail for color and shine. A structured manicure goes a step further by using a thicker builder gel to create structure and strength on the nail. This includes building a subtle apex (the highest point of the nail) which helps support the natural nail, reduce breakage, and extend the longevity of the manicure.

  • No. Structured manicures use builder gel rather than acrylic. Builder gel is lighter, more flexible, and designed to work with the natural nail rather than creating a rigid extension. The result is a more natural-looking manicure that provides excellent strength and extra durability.

  • Yes! Because the builder gel overlay adds reinforcement and reduces bending and breakage, many clients find that their natural nails are able to grow longer and stronger with consistent structured manicures.

  • Most structured manicures last 3 to 4 weeks (or longer!), depending on nail growth, lifestyle, and at-home care. Many clients return for maintenance fills every 3 to 4 weeks to rebalance the structure and keep the nails looking fresh.

  • As your natural nails grow, the structure of the manicure shifts forward. A fill appointment removes any lifted product, rebalances the builder gel structure, and refreshes the manicure with new color if desired. This allows you to maintain your nails without needing a full removal each time.

  • When applied and removed properly by a trained professional, structured manicures do not damage the natural nails. In fact, many clients experience healthier nails due to the added protection and reinforcement.

  • Structured manicures are an excellent option for weak, thin, or peeling nails because the builder gel overlay adds strength and protection while the natural nail grows underneath.

  • Structured manicures are primarily designed to strengthen the natural nail. Minor length adjustments or short extensions may be possible depending on the situation, but longer extensions are typically achieved with full gel or acrylic extensions. Adrianna does not offer extensions at this time.

  • Yes! Structured manicures can be finished with gel polish, French designs, chrome, nail art, or a natural glossy finish depending on your preference and budget.

  • A structured manicure is a more advanced technique that requires additional time, product, precision, and training. Instead of simply applying gel polish, builder gel is carefully sculpted to create a balanced structure that supports the natural nail and improves durability. This process includes building an apex, reinforcing weak areas of the nail, and customizing the shape for long-lasting wear. Because of the extra skill, time and detail involved, structured manicures provide significantly better longevity, strength, and overall nail health compared to traditional gel manicures.

  • If you currently have acrylic/dip nails, they will need to be safely removed before transitioning to a structured manicure. This can typically be done during your appointment. Once the acrylic is removed, builder gel can be applied to reinforce the natural nail and begin growing out healthier nails. If you’re unsure what product is currently on your nails, feel free to call/text, or send a photo ahead of your appointment.
